    Default Double Stake Out

These two Pied Kingfishers were observing for their next meal. The light wasnt from the best angle, so I added a catchlight to each kingfisher. Taken in the Pilanesberg Nature reserve last year Feb.

Stuart, how awesome to get 2 birds in your image! Nice perch, BG and composition. I think the addition of the catchlight helps with the eye contact.:)

Stuart, good job in getting both within the DOF and still getting a blurred BG. Good exposure too. The zoom came in handy here.

2 for 1 and they are both in focus! The catch eye is a good idea. I will have to put that on my list of things to learn. I might like the limb a little lower in the frame, but I would have to see it that way to know for sure.

Two for the price of one! Great perch, good eye contact with both birds, and a pano crop that works very well. The catchlights look quite natural.

Doesn't bode well for the fish in that water! Nice comp. THe birds are nice and sharp and really stand out from that BG. I also like the look of that perch with all the little nooks, moss, and stubby branches.
