    Just back from Switzerland. Very limited time to photograph but made the most of it.
    Tough lighting conditions .

    Beautiful portrait, Gary. Like the pose, perch and BG. The head looks a little soft on my screen. Also you might try a couple of USM passes (120/0.3/1) on the eye. Where in Switzerland?

    Lovely natural colours Gary, and the pose looks good. I agree, this is a tad soft. I feel with your FL and such a slow ss has made this soft.

    Glad to see you made it home safely with some nice photos! Time to start packing for Costa Rica! Good points above. Also wish for a slight head turn towards you.

    Hi Gary,

    I hope you don't mind but I've done a few adjustments to your original image. I liked your original image but I noticed that it had a bit of a blue colour cast and also looked a little flat so I took it into Photoshop and corrected the cast using Colour Balance, plus minor alterations with Selective Colour, Saturation and Curves.

    I hope you like it. (If you do, I can provide more details of the adjustments - so you can do them to your TIFF or PSD original)
