portrait of a GBH

Took this in Half Moon Bay, CA back in December, in last light. red stain on the beak is blood from a vole it caught earlier.

7D + 400mm f/5.6 @ f/8 1/800 sec ISO 1600. sw DPP post processing: crop and used cooling filter to remove evening cast.

Lovely light, detail and colours. Maybe slightly darker and tighter.
