    I took this shot with my vari-d filter in the Shenandoah mountains of Va.
    15 seconds at f22
    ISO200
    Is this a keeper?

    I think it is a keeper. I would take some off the top, however. I like the mountains - they almost look like waves.

    Bob,

    Good idea - I have done these myself. I felt more detail in the mountains was needed so did a Shadow/Highlights adjustment. Also cropped as suggested. I like the crop but am OK with the original version too.

    Hi Bob,
    I like Robert's repost but you could also go the other way.....and make the base darker/almost silhouette and that would probably work too. I think the effect was pretty cool although I am betting I may have preferred a sharper cloud version. I also like the crop, but would tone down the brighter cloud near frame edge if you go in that direction. I like that you thought of using the filter in a different way too!
