Love the pose of this homely one, Stuart, well captured. Breast feathers look slightly hot, and you might try cropping a little off the bottom. I think the bird could stand a little sharpening. What's the species?

Very nice pose. I agree on Keith's comments, I think the top wings are also hot. They are large and bully geese.
