Last year in Kruger came across a Southern Ground Hornbill preening in a sycamore fig tree..........the BG was distracting and light harsh so I decided to zoom in and try something different ...hope you like it....full frame...D2xs 200-400 wimberley plus car mount.
Interesting. Some guy once wrote: Bad light: think tight! As I looked at the thumbnail I could not make out what you did. Best of all: accurate focus on the eye.

Definitely different perspective Peter. Takes a bit to see what is going on. Wish there was a little more detail in the dark feathers, but given the lighting, you might not have had any choice.

Rich and Jody....your points are valid ..and I can get more detail from blacks....and there is a bit more canvas on Rhs...will play around and see if i like it...
