    Very interesting lines.
    I think it might be a bit stronger if the lower areas with the spines was a bit darker to keep from drawing attention away from the center.

    Interesting image, Markus. I'm trying to decide on the crop as presented...something feels a little "off" but I can't decide if it's the angle or the tightness or the flower being so centered. I do like it - just think there could be a stronger comp in there somewhere. Agree with Randy that toning down the front just a bit would help pull the eye to the center of the image where all that great focus is pinpointed. The lighting is beautiful as well.

    Hey Markus,
    Agree with the above comments...you may also want to consider cropping this so that the cut petals are all around...............just some food for thought.

    i can see why you tok this picture. lovely center. i think the rest of the flower is just too busy. :)
