    Default Red Crested Pochard

Was at my local pond trying for Sand Martins in flight but could not resist a few shots of this juvenile male that has been on my local pond for a few months now. This is a medium crop of about 50%. Critique welcome please.

Lovely. Beautiful colors, and the water drop tops it off. I personally like the tight crop and composition. Looks like a bit more DOF would have helped on the head.

Hi Roy, Very nice job on this! Sharp, good head angle, muted backround and even lighting. The water drop adds another dimension to the image which greatly adds interest. Well done!

Nice image. I really like the colors and detail. As Bill said a bit more DOF would have been nice.

Love it, (great BG) just more at the top for me. Exposure techs are solid - nice setup.

Thanks for the comments and critique guys, on reflection I should have closed down to f8 or at least f5.6.
