    It's that time of year when the males are battling for the best spots on the lek. This has always been very tough to document because of the way these birds fight and the extremely fast brief action. With the Mark4 I can use Iso 1600 and get high enough shutter speeds to freeze the action.


    Canon 1DM4, 500 f4, Iso 1600, f5.6 at 1/3200s

    Wow Mike this is awesome. You sure captured these males in the height of their dispute. Excellent sharpness and detail. Love it !!! Big congrats !!!

    Looks great for ISO 1600. It was a good decision to push your ISO in spite of the fact that you had sunlight; that extra SS really freezes the action nicely. Like the low angle. Wish I could see the head of the second bird.

    Nice action moment captured! Sharpness is super. I think it might be some brighten up/contrast added

    Beautiful light embellishing the action, those wings look like they were made of mother of pearl. Big congrats!
