    I like the back-lit and the pose Callie. They are so photogenic and I love to photograph them. Well done on this one.

    Hi Callie, busy little creatures, and I like the rim light along the chest and around the front legs. I would maybe give this a slight CCW rotation.

    Nice to see a meerkat in other than the 'traditional' pose. It would be nice to see some more detail in the eye but given the challenges with the backlight and your focal length this is a lovely shot.

    Good pose and exposure Callie Different and works !!! Would try lightening the head area just a bit, should be very easy, just enough to have a better view of the eye !! I like it a lot !!!

    This is different. It would have been even better if the camera was parallel to the meerkat. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks, guys, much appreciated. I did try the eye, but it came out not too good, so left it rather dark.
    Stu, a CCW rotate work, I will have a look.

    Very nice Callie. Rim lighting works well.

    Maybe a bit of fill flash might have helped or some extra PP to lift the shadows in the eye.
