    Good eye contact and nice sharpness. I wish there was a bit more room in the LLC, and I might crop some off the top. I also would have liked more even lighting of the bird. The closest pine needle behind the bird's bill is a little distracting (probably because of the white base).

    Ivan:

    Doug hit the high points. It is usually tough to make the dappled/uneven light work, esp. if the eye and face aren't in the lighter areas. If the light had been just a bit more to the right, and on the complete face, it would have helped.
