Beautiful capture with a lovely pose and excellent color and detail. The BG is very pleasing and complements the subject, There is a lot of space to the right and I might be tempted to crop a little but the more I look at this image I truly like it as presented. Congratulations on a fine image Morkel and thanks for sharing.

    Morkel:

Nice soft light, HA, colors, sharpness, DOF.
Interesting perch, a bit busy, wish the one stick didn't merge with tail, but minor.

Crop certainly strengthens the feel of him looking away, could consider just a bit less room on right, purely personal taste.

    Nice image of this beauty.
I liked the pose, head turn and lighting.
As a thumb rule, I always prefer to leave headspace (minimum 1.5 times the head size) above the head.
Little more room overhead will be better.
I also feel that the tail is more nicely focussed than the head.

This bird is passage migrant in north west India, and is ocasionally seen in September and October in western India.

I like the soft light, and good feather detail shown. Good head turn, and I like the mottled BG. I feel there is a bit too much space on the right.

I like this Morkel. Super BG and head angle. I do feel however that there is too much room on the right.

Nice looking bird Morkel. You captured him with a nice head turn. Space in the repost looks good. I like the mottled BG. I'd smooth out the dark/light transition in the BG coming off the beak.
