On a rainy day at the Tampa Aquarium. Very difficult shooting conditions as the place was crowded and the tank had many jellyfish. I wasn't sure if I should post it here....as I used my 17-40mm lens....but it did say close ups in the despcription of the forum.....and the jellyfish was only about 6 inches away from me. Canon 1D Mark lll with the 17-40mm lens at 22mm for 1/100th sec at f22 and ISO 400 the Canon 580EZ flash off camera at minus 1/3. Clean up of a few floaties in water in PP'ing.

Most excellent, flash work really made this fellow pop. Like the lighter area in RUC, like he is heading towards the light. Typical Romanesque cropping. Makes me want to try it!
Thanks for providing a lovely image and inspiration too!
Roman, I really love how the side lighting works here. It really does give a 3D feel to the image and creates a true feeling of suspension. The details are tremendously clear for this "behind glass" type of image. Have you by any chance tried this in black & white??? ;)
Roman ... I've been to a lot of aquariums, and tried to capture what you've got here...really good work, exposure, sharpness...I qould have thought this was taken underwater not thru glass...TFS
