    Practicing for the serious combat in the Fall.

    The elk were so close, I had to back up, per the 25 yard dmz.

    Canon 40D + 100-400mm @ 170mm, F9, 1/1000, ISO 500

    Sometimes they just get too close, had that happen with elk and big horn and griz once. Did you open up the darks in ps in the neck/head area? As the bodies are cut already I might go in a little tighter. Good interaction captured. TFS

    nice interaction and exposure Lance - I would also crop tighter and go for a vertical composition...

    I like how you have centred the two heads, and those antlers sure are mingled. Good to see the snow too.

    Great image Lance. I like it as presented but would also like to see a vertical crop for comparison.

    I might have backed up an extra 25 yards to give myself some more running room. ;)
