    Barnegat Lighthouse last Tuesday afternoon. Cropped to vert, with slight bit off top and bottom. C&C appreciated.

    Bill, I really liked this. details in black...the feather texture captured in excellent fashion. love the BG. Nice pose and eye contact. If mine, I'd move the bird a little towards the center.

    It seems as though a lot Harlequin images don't have enough separation between the subject and background. I think you nailed this with a perfect background! I like the vertical composition as well.

    Razor sharp and well-controlled exposure (which can be hard for this species). I think the composition works as is. Very good!

    Like the vert. comp and the details in the blacks. I like the drops of water on the breast as well.
