this is one of many shoots I have of 5 different tigers we saw while visiting India in 2009 - my bucket list item was to get a photography of a tiger from atop an elephant - this tiger was about 12 years old and had lost two of her front teeth -

    Billy,

Nice to see a shot from "Kanha" . Hmm, the pink nose does not really make her look like a 12 year old...are you sure you are not referring to Machli from Ranthambhore (who is 12 yr old and has actually lost her canines).
But then, Ranthambhore does not allow elephant rides (tiger shows)....I might be wrong...but anyway, good to see an image from India. I will be there soon....

Great eye contact Billy. The foliage adds to the story of by giving an understanding of the environment.

I can't help with the ID comments above as I have no knowledge of tigers.

Nice eye contact. Maybe a little tight but any wider may include too much foliage. Good detail captured. TFS

Thanks everyone - this tiger also had two canines missing - I have a great shot of her growling at the mahout who got too close - great add for the American Dental Association - maybe I'll post it - she also had two cubs which we did not see
