    another shot of a Redshank,it had paused between preening,the blue in the river is the reflection of the sky,the sun had just gone behind a small cloud.cannon 50d,400mm lens +1.4ext,exp1/3,1/250sec,f9.iso500,slight crop,some clone work in pse.thanks for looking.

    Pose and light look good. I wish there were more separation between rock and bird and might sharpen the bird more.

    Christopher:

    I was struck by the same point as Axel, that the merge between the rock and bird is a bit distracting.
    The plane of focus looks to me to be a bit posterior to the bird, as the right side of the rock beneath the bird looks sharper than the bird itself.

    I like the pose, flipped up feathers and colors.
