    Default Back-lit Leaf

I added a Topaz Simplify filter which I adjusted to a very low opacity. Then blended it using the Difference mode. I painted in some of the veins. I then added a slight midnight filter in Nik's Color-efex.

My laptop crashed w/ all my images in it yesterday so I had to download this one from my web-site. I hope the image quality holds up.:(

Thanks Barbara, This is my second laptop to crash with all my images in it. I'm just thankful that all the images I took from my Florida trip were downloaded to my main computer the day before. I lost all of my creative images from the beginning of the year-but I haven't lost all hope. My friend is still working on it.

There are people who can recover the data - so if your friend doesn't have any luck - check around. I remember Tony Sweet had a laptop crash a few months ago and he said, 'If your images aren't backed up in 2 places, then they don't exist! (He had a backup laptop with him thank goodness).

Billy, It is good to see you here in the forum. I agree it does look like an artery.:)

Very nice effect, Denise. It does look like arteries! Sorry to hear about laptop crash. Hope you can recover all the images. If the hard drive has not failed, you can put it in an external hard drive enclosure and connect it to desktop to access the files for backup.

I love the leaf image, Denise. Perfect positioning in the frame and nice, bold colors. Lovely work.

I, too, lost everything to a motherboard crash but was able to retrieve the hard drive - I had already lost half a year's images a year before and couldn't imagine going through that again. Now I have my handy dandy carry it with me hard drive and will be buying another one as a 2nd back up - because the feeling you get when the darn computer crashes is the WORST feeling in the world. I can't go through that again!
