    A well-camouflaged bird, in the Thar Desert in NW India in Feb. I hope the bits of stick etc. aren't too distracting in this image.

    D300, 80-400, hand-held.

    Richard different bird for sure, I like the crop and sharpness, a little more head turn would have been nice..TFS

    I really like the monochromatic effect of sandy bird on the sand (and I don't find the sticks, etc distracting) . Sharp, good comp. Could use a catchlight. There's some noise in the background, and I might notice some in the bird's head.

    Hi Richard - like the single tone feel of this, The eye is lifeless - a added catchlight might be a possability. Would run some noise reduction on the BG.
