In another lifetime, I have hunted all over North America..this image taken with an old point and shoot..shows one of the largest Whitetail deer, I've ever seen.
Taken in Saskatchewan southern district, while scouting the area..I'll always remember stalking to within 100 yards of this deer, spending an hour with him.
Image quality poor, wish I'd had my present equipment.
Processed in Fotosketcher, Oil painting, framed in CS4

LOLOL..Guess I should have called this "Close-up to a King"

Paul, It looks like a real painting. The soft BG colors still have a very natural/winter look to them. I like the placement of your deer. Very nice capture.:)

I think you turned a maybe not so great pic into a very nice painting. Pastel and serene. I think the deer is well placed too.

Don't know how you achieved this effect Paul, but it's a winner. It has an almost antique quality. Love the subdued tones. Great composition too:) K

Wonderful work, Paul. The deer is in just the right place and the surroundings look so natural - beautiful job on bringing out the most of this special moment.
