Yes, I am a flower child of the 70's. And, yes, I taught all my friends at camp how to tie die their t-shirts. Why do you ask? ;)

Tonight I took a gerbera daisy image, transplanted it onto a new background (sky with clouds), neonized it in Fractalius, threw a layer of chrome on it in Photoshop's filter gallery, then ran it under the Stylizer filter in Nik's Color Efex filters.

If I had created this 35 years ago this would so be hanging on my wall right now. :D

Yes, Denise, in the spirit of full disclosure, I did wear bell bottom jeans that were wider than my volkswagon beetle. :D

That is what you meant, right? ;)

Dates me too, we probably would have been listening to Jimi Hendrix and Janice Joplin, to mention a few.....

Psychedlica is alive and well and living in Kansas City! I had an owl hanging on my wall that was just about these colors. Crazy!:):):)

Thanks everyone...this was so much fun to do. Whenever I get to a "stuck" place in my art I just go for broke and see what happens and it always gives me a fresh perspective on some old images.

Now head on out there and hum a little Janice Joplin today! :D

Way cool Jules! I'm another child of the 70's so Hendrix and Joplin run through my head a lot:) I love the colors and the chrome really makes it pop. I'd hang it on my wall:D
