My recent two posts (last week) were of the same Willet; today's post is of a different bird whose picture I took about six months ago. It records the beauty of this otherwise pale gray bird, with its wings unfurled. The PP was all done in Lightroom. It was necessary to use the Recovery slider to tame the whites on the outside wing. The image is one of the very few I have that show the bird's "true colors." I keep trying, mostly unsuccessfully, to capture good BIF images of Willets.

You got a very nice wing position here, details are nice too. It would be nice if the bird is angled towards the cameras and try to get a bit lower if you can.

Congrats on just getting this image. I know just how temperamental Shorebirds are when photographing them, so just getting this image with the wings outstretched like this is pretty good.

Hi wendell - agree with the above comments - might just run some NR on the background.
Looking good - keep em coming ;)
