Red Squirrels are territorial and quite vocal. This squirrel was attracted by a feeder setup and there is a second red squirrel between us that the first squirrel is loudly objecting to. :) 40D, 500 f/4, 1/100, f/5.6, ISO 400. All comments welcome and appreciated.

just love the pose, composition and 3D factor here...great moment captured. I might slice a bit from the top if it were mine.

Steve, works for me on all levels. I guess you were tight for light/speed based on the 'techs'. Perhaps a tad more on the lhs, but no great deal. No 'nits' for me. Like it.:)

SWEET! I love the feeling of great energy in a small package. Great expression, detail and BG. As mentioned above, beautiful 3D effect .

    Hi Steve,

You did very well at 1/100 with a 500mm lens. Maybe you had tripod to assit.

Lovely image and expression. Personally, I would lose some from the right or add some to the left to move the eye off centre.

Outstanding capture. I love the open mouth and the way the tail curves with the body. Nice BG. I might tone down the whites just a tad.

Excellent IQ Steve, which in turn has brought out good sharp detail. The open mouth adds to the image too. Killer BG. Congrats on a fine image.
