    Still working my way through my florida trip images (wish I could visit more often!), hence a few questions lately about my images.

    Not sure about the blank area top left, my eyes seems drawn to this instead of the main subject. Any help welcome.

    D300 + 300mm F4 HH
    1/1600 sec @ F4.5
    iso 400

    Hi Stuart - the cut off bird on the RHS is distracting and a little more separation between the main bird and the one behind it would stopped it merging into the one in the BG. Moving around and changing your shooting angle if possible might have given more options.
    The pinks are lovely and the exposure looks good.

    To me I think the birds could use more room inside the frame. Look kind of busy to me, unfortunately. Like the color of the bird though.

    I would get rid of the other two birds and keep the main one which looks great

    Exposure techs look good, as you know working the BG is critical, this one is busy. Sometimes we take what we can get as well:) - love the colors and species - thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for the critique on this one. As you say, had to take what I could get here. Taken in a small inlet from a boat so no other angles on the birds here.
