    Taken last weekend during the beginning of the Alabama goose mating season. Canon 1D mk III, Canon 600mm/F4.0, 1/1600 @ F 8.0, manual mode, 800 ISO, no flash. Cropped from horizontal.

    Richard:

    I like the isolated pose, tiny 'hill', open bill.

    The whites look a bit hot and lacking detail. In a perfect world, I wish the wings were in a full back position to show off more underwing detail.

    Maybe a smidge tight as cropped below and left.

    I like the calling pose and angle and wish the wings were spread more. I would give it a bit more room, tone down the whites and sharpen the bird more.
