    Dear All,

Enclosed please find a dhole or wild dog portrait. They hunt in packs. This one was taken in Nagarholle National Park, India. It was raining, and the pack was in a playful mood. They kept on wandering around my vehicle. It lasted for more than an hour. This shot was captured when one of the them came near the vehicle.

    Canon EF 1D Mark II, EF 300mm F4 L IS USM, ISO 200, 1/200, f4.

    Sabyasachi,

A less confusing BG then your previous post. I like the composition with the animals's neck and shoulders coming in from the the lower right on a diagonal. The top crop is a bit tight with the eye close to the frame edge. Also the rock (looks like a rock) in the BG at the bottom and in front of his chest is distracting. Some careful cloning using a portion of the BG to the left of the rock could be done.

    Exposure and colors look good.

NIce contemplative pose. Makes me wonder what's on his mind. I like the way the line of the muzzle and ears line up. As noted, this BG is a little less cluttered than your previous post. I agree that the rock should be cloned as the pointy edge almost toouches the white patch on his chest. I'd also brighten up the dark spot at the top and just under the chin just a bit to make them less conspicous.

Might need a bit more room on the top of the frame. Good BG control here. The OOF FG rock is a bit of a distraction..
