From last weekend's at Fort Desoto trying some images before the sun came up at East Beach. Usually you will have some color in the water for a few minutes then can concentrate on the sky with flight. At this time is best to use Tv in order to control the shutter speed, as I see the aperture climbing the ISO is lowered.

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

that's just all around good photography! loving that warm water and the flash lit the gull to perfection. good lesson to learn that you dont need as much flash in low light conditions than you would in brighter conditions.

is that head angle just a tad off? you should have also kicked the other bird's butt for making that ripple!!!!

Hi Bob I did get the entire reflection but the head was not all that sharp so I cut it out !!! Usually with that smooth water you will get reflections, its just being patient and making multiples if there is the chance !!!

..btw for reflections is best to stand a bit tall !!

Whites are good and love the BG - well exposed picture with great composition. Love the -1.66 on the Speedlight, I assume no BB just a slight head tilt?
