One of the afternoons in East Beach, where high tide brings the tiny shorebirds very close to the grass, making is more comfortable for you to lay flat on your tummy. I was working at f/10 because of the possibility of getting a couple in the frame, there was some courtship going on.Anyway, I like texture in the ocean, so it worked out fine. I'm working on a laptop (big monitor is cat impaired at the moment) and I didn't see any noise, so no NR applied. Only processing was Nik Color Efex Tonal contrast, cropping re-sizing and sharpening for web.

    Hi Fabs,
I like the unique pose on this one.
I need to try to get to Desoto, my only trip there was on the first BPN GTG.
Nice to see you taking the MK IV to the beach:)

    Hi Fabs....

I agree with you about the water...I enjoy it there when I can see some texture in it and this is just perfect.

Lighting looks a little harsh (yes..I know what afternoon light looks like :)

Love the pose, sharpness is perfect, exposure looks perfect for the lighting conditions.

The OOF foreground is less than optimal IMHO (I don't know how to say that without sounding like a PITA), especially as it reasches fairly high to the largest foreground object...the rock on the left.

How sweet is this. He is posing just for you. Excellent exposure , detail and low angle. I really like it as presented. The OOF does not bother me as my eye is led right to Sammy. Fine work my friend !!!!

The pose is excellent and I love the raised feathers.
    Very nicely captured.

The studio was all booked up when I called to schedule a session so I had to make to do with good ol' nature :)

    Thanks all for your comments!
