There are not only Snow Geese at Middle Creek and I took advantage of this Canada Goose flying by. I made this around noon, the sky was overcast which helped with the exposure.

that's just silk, axel!! perfect light and bg to compliment this bird. awesome job!
Beautiful pose and mood, like a storm is coming, love it!
I like everything about this one Axel!
congratulations.
For a Canadian Goose, the image is a stunner :)
The only think I think might make it a bit better for my eyes is if from the beginning of the neck forward, it was just a slight bit brighter to give it more separation from the also dark background (perhaps just bringing up the whites on the cheek?)
Very nice, perfect pose and I like the eye very much.
The colors and tones are excellent too.
Nice flight shot and excellant wing position, sharp, well exposed...won't be long now migration is beginning
A fantastic flight shot of the species. Everything is great here, nothing not to like.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
Jim, I already lightened the white patch on the neck and lightening the blacks would make the plumage look grayish, at least on my monitor.
Nice light. The wing position, slight vertical angle, and BG colors make for a very nice, simple image. HAs a good feel for me.
Axel, what a nice shot. The light seems very different and you have captured the mood very well. That BG you have at this place is sweeet. The entire series has been thoroughly enjoyable. Processing is perfect as usual.

Nice Axel, common bird but not easy to pull an appealing photograph, well done here.
