    Another picture taken down on the sand, hand held D300s 150-500 Sigma
    Cropped, highlights adjusted in PS. BTW I forgot to change my ISO from previous use in a dark area
    150-500mm @ 500mm
    750mm (in 35mm film)

    Hi Myer Image held very well with the high ISO !!!! Good exposure and PS work, about the only think that would make it better is being on the ground. Will give you a totally different perspective !!! ... btw can darken the bill (black stripe) and lighten the eye a bit !!!

    Thanks I did lighten the eye but will lighten it some more and darken the bill

    Repost really helps bring out the eye and the bill. I like the foam, and the raised foot. Lower angle would have been great, if possible.

    Does make a difference I like it !!!! btw hope you can get some of these guys in full breeding plumage with the mouth open ... spectacular birds !!!

    i'm going for these guys this afternoon!! hoping to get the breeding colors. repost does look better. more impact. there is also a dust bunny in the upper right.

    Repost does look heaps better - a low shooting angle will transform this - just dont get your gear wet.
    Looking forward to seeing more.

    Hi Myer....Like the repost...surprising how little things matter....Your exposure looks right on with nice whites and good blacks. I also like the foam!
