    Hi Guys,

This was taken at a feeding Station in the Forest of Dean. Crop 50% Minimal PP,
    ISO 400
    1/800
    !D MK4, 500 F4 + 1.4 Conv
    Av mode, F 6.3
    Eval
    Comp 0

A day checking out the focussing on the Mk4 so I was after anything that came along. The HAP will no doubt be alerted :):), but overall I like it, it's no competition winner but it's pleasing to the eye I think.........

    Regards

nice looking bird, chris. i like the smooth bg and how the bird is spotlighted in the light part of it. only find the perch, as nice as it is, to be a little too big for the bird.

Very nice. I like the lighting, BG and detail. I agree the perch is a little big for the bird, but I do like the green growth on it.

Hi Chris Agree with comments !! What a sweet bird with that gorgeous bg !!! Even with the dominant perch would be a big keeper in my book !!! Big Congrats !!!

.... btw love all the shadow detail in the face and clearly visible eye !!!

Lovely perch and pose, with great detail. I love these little birds. I might have liked just a touch more lightness, if it could be done without cooking the white cheek.

Agree with the above comments - lots to like here - Good HA and eye contact, Gorgeous BG and nice fine feather detail.

Thanks for the comments guys, the sun had only just risen which may account for a slightly dark pic.Its fine on my monitor, will check calibration.
