    Default Sable crossing

A magnificent Sable ram crossing a stream whilst being admired by a passing Baboon.
Perhaps a little too centered, but wanted to include the baboon.

    Marc,
I would leave the baboon out, and maybe lighten the eye a bit, otherwise superb.
I really hope we will have some great Sable sightings in April.

    Hi Marc

I like it, just not sure about the comp, whether it needs a tad more at the top & to the right? I would leave the Baboon in, as it adds to the scene IMHO. Good detail in the horns, the eye is visible, but if you lighten it too much it might look odd. The OP on the back is a nice detail. A lovely animal.

    Hi Marc,

A lovely subject which is difficult to compose. On balance I would crop the baboon out as the subject has enough interest alone to keep my attention and cropping would lose the strip of water on the LHS as well.

    Well seen and exposed. tfs

Hi Marc With the trail of water behind the animal I'm fine with the crop, had to think about it for a bit !! .. the baboon is not distinct enough to make a difference so I would remove, at first it looked like a rock !!! Excellent image !!!

Boy I just love sable... Great light here and some added interest with the baboon. I know why and agree with your comp on this image.. Well done.

Hi Marc... I like it, and if the baboon remains maybe crop slightly from the bottom? Regardless, great moment captured of an awesome looking animal in a nice setting and light... congrats!

Superb animal caught in a very interesting motion and pose. Personally I would leave the baboon out (didn't really notice it until I read the caption), but that's personal.

Is that an oxpecker on his back? Great shot!

Nice image of this sable in beautiful light. Either way with the baboon works for me. Would like more room up top if you have it. Well done. TFS

Hi Marc, well exposed on the Sable, and I like the comp as is. The baboon doesnt distract, and I even like the inclusion of the oxpecker on the Sable too. Your Sable series has been wonderful.
