    Default Pelican in White

This shot of a diving Pelican was taken at Ding Darling NWR last year.

Modifications in PS4 included; Poster Edge, B&W Conversion, Exposure Adjustment and Note Paper. The double matte effect was due to the matting of the original prior to processing with the Note Paper filter, which caused a relief effect to the interior border line. I decided to leave it, as an effect to the image framing.

    Enjoy.

Mark, This kinda has an old photo look. I might boost the contrast a tiny bit. But I can see you have been a low contrast man lately so I'm sure that was your intention. I like the framing, it came out neat. The wing positions look like they hurt:eek:

Thanks Denise for viewing and comment. Appreciate it.

I'll take the comment on the old photo as a positive. I spent a lot of time trying to get the contrast right, but this one wouldn't go there. I liked the shot, but didn't get it as dark as I wanted with the lighter BG. So, I will just move on to other images. May bring this bird back in the future for a reshowing in another format.

Hi Mark. Interesting composition on this one - my eye is expecting the negative space to be on the left... Is it just me, or does it feel like it needs a bit of CW rotation?

Nice action very well presented, although for my taste, I'd place the bird more to the right of the frame.
