Photo taken at Fort DeSoto Park last weekend with Al and Fabs leading the way. These two shells caught my eye. The mud flats weren't very inviting so I applied Fractalius to the mix. I used the Glow 50 filter. I adjusted the opacity and fill so as to give the appearance of sparkling water covering the scene. I did erase the effect from the two shells. C and C welcomed.
Sea shells got fract !!! Dreamy feel Like it a lot Jim !!!! Might take a tad of the top !!! ....good use of layer mask !!! :) .... have you warmed up from the lagoon :)
Hi Jim, Nice subject and colors. Love the frac effect on the mud, adds a nice shine to the image. I think the composition might be stronger if you cropped some off the bottom and cloned out the yellow spot in the LLC.
James, Really cool effect and the subjects seem to be more of the focal point w/ the newer crop- I think if it were mine I might take some off the top as Alfred suggested and clone the yellow spot as Christopher mentioned. Either way very neat image. I love the sparkling water look.:)
To my taste, the repost is too centered and shells too dominant. I'd love the original, with less room on top and the whatever yellow thing cloned out. The fracted water is a very important element here and I don't want to loose so much of it in favor of the shells. Matter of taste, of course :)
I owe you an e-mail, coming later or tomorrow ;)
