    Default Snowy Plover

This was taken at Sanibel Beach on the SWFIPT. This day was the first day I ever saw a Snowy Plover and I was soooo excited. I must have taken at least 500 shots of this little one. I got different HA"s,every pose, close-ups, resting, one footed pose, etc. Not once did I notice it only had one foot. So much for being observant.
I left the bands on the bird. I added some fog in Color-efex. I desaturated it a bit. I also added a sketch effect in Fractalius.

Denise, this is a really cool effect. I can barely see the outline of the bird's body and leg on my monitor. Was that your intention?

Nice pose and effect, Denise, though I can't really see the bird's foot and body outline. Maybe it's just my monitor.

If I tilt my screen up, I can see the leg...I actually like just the head and body...well done

    Nice image and application, Denise.

It must have been cool to capture it during the recent Florida snowstorm! ;) :D

Lovely Denise! I like this treatment a lot, and in fact I have one waiting to be posted, but I need to wait until tomorrow. ;) I'm a big fan of the minimalist techniques!

You are too creative. This is killer good. Love both the high keys and the sketch job and how you "lost" the bands!
