    Default Juvenile Common Gull

I was shooting some BIF when this one pitched right in front of me. Seems a bit tight to me bit that is how it was and the head seems a little soft (focus point was probably on the grey feathers).

    Shutter Speed: 1/4000

Hi Roy - doing well, agree with your self critique- a little more sharpening to the head area maybe.
Exposure looks good and like the preening pose - Plenty of SS to swap for some more DOF - but realize you didnt have time to make the adjustment.
A little more space all around for my tastes.
    Good show :)

Beautiful picture. Deceptively simple shot but difficult to be perfect.

Love the preening pose with the feather in the beak. Beautiful bg. Agree with the self-critique - a bit more room would help. Nicely done.

Really nice pose, exposure and perch. Very nice detail in the feathers.

Just more space around the bird....otherwise just about perfect!

Hi Roy the little extra space should be easy and a good PS workout !!! Lovely pose and like seeing the head parallel to the film plane !!!

Agree with the others' comments. Love the feather detail, appealing position on the bird. Agree about needing a bit more space to the right.

    Well done

    Cheers

Thank you for all the feedback folks, I appreciate it. Attached is a rework done by adding canvas (thanks to the methods described in this website). I have added a bit to the top, left and right, what do you think? is it enough.
