I drove up next to this guy, and took this image through my passenger window. He was quite chilled, and even turned around for me to capture his other side. Taken in the nature reserve close to my house.

Love the framing of this bird, and that he's looking right at us. Exposure and detail - excellent! Would wish for a BG not so plain, but that's a minor nit. Congrats!

    Lovely classic pose Stuart.
I really like the exposure and colours. Nice and sharp as well.
Certainly a photo that could go into a bird book.

Nice soft light, a good pose, good exposure on blacks and whites, sharp, plus nice comp and background. Well done on all counts, Stuart.

I really like the details in the plumage, esp in the blacks. Nice capture!

Stuart, the sharpness is very good. Eye contact a big plus. Car is the best blind as they say.

I know how small and jittery they are Stu! love the detail and pose here...looks a tad over-sharpened to my eye?

That one looks similar to the European species. Great capture. Very sharp and perfect exposure. The BG is very good as is the composition.
