    Although the background is darkish the bird 'pops' right out. I think it is well composed and focussed.
    What camera and lens did you use?

    Sharpness, angle and BG look very good. I might tone down the whites a bit more, remove the lower catchlight and sharpen the perch a bit less.

    Super close up, and I agree with removing the second catch light.

    A very interesting looking bird.
    I like how the green bg adds to the black and white of the bird. Nice contrast.
    Yes, I am also curious about the gear you used. It seems you were very close.

    Nice, well exposed image on excellent BG with perfect head position. Very well done. I see a slight sharpening halo around the beak.
