    I just checked a popular German store and there it is 2.273,00 Euros. There may be cheaper offers but probably not by much.
    Wich an exchange rate of 1.3676, this will be 3108.55 US$

    Expensive it is but one fine lens !!! Wonder if they will be updating the 4.0 IS ?

    Why would they? The f/4 IS is only a few years old, is already a stellar optic and already has the 4 stop IS system.
