    Hello Scott,

Love the details and light. The image is too tight and wish for more room all around your subject. Adding more canvas will do the trick.

Nice light and great colors. I agree about having a little more room around the heron.

The BG, colors and detail is all superb! A little more room for the subject will take this to the next level. Nice one!

A nice capture Scott showing good pose and great detail. Would just like to see more space in front of Heron.

Besides previous suggestions you need a better head angle I do like the feather detail and exposure btw to make it even better appealing might want to work around the eye area !!!

Thanks guys. I tried initially to do different things with the crop including landscape, but nothing worked. Therefore I went with the super tight crop. I'll mess with it some more to see if I can add canvas.

Al...I wondered when the HAP would appear! :D

Hi Scott, very nice work. It's not often that you get these little guys out in the open in such nice light. You made the best of it. The iridescence of his feathers is beautiful. I agree that more room around the subject would improve the image, as well a bit more inviting, personal head angle. Keep up the good work!

    Hi,
All the colors - bg, water, feathers - blend beautifully here. And the beautiful light brings that out. Perhaps the TC was not necessary here as the image is tightly framed on three sides. But, georgous, nonetheless.
