    Default Merganser takeoff 2

    Merganser, Ft Desoto Florida

I made tis image 2 frames after the last image I posted. The bird had moved towards us a little bit and was speeding up and out of the water now.

    Nikon D3, 600VR, x1.7, ISO 200, f8, 1/640, Gitzo 3530 LSV, Wimberley Head II

I like it George. Kudos for getting the head in focus.

    Hey George,

I sure remember this one. Love the action but looks a little dark but at the same time makes it very interesting. Did you get your D3 fixed?

Nikon still has it. I am wondering if they will just replace the LCD. They've had it for over a week now.:(

Incredible, I though you were going to get a new one.

    Good luck with that!

Hi George - lots of potential here but the harsh lighting wasn't very kind to you!!

Nice action captured, George. IMO, it's a little bit too contrasty and a little bit dark.
