    Default Common Merganser (Male)

I`ve been chasing this fella around the marsh for several day, trying to get close enough for some decent shots, and when I arrived on this outing, I found him sleeping about 40 feet off shore.

I know exactly whant you went through, having chased a bunch of them in the beach last week-end. IF it's OK with your post processing ethics, I'd clean the water a bit. TFS.

Thanks for all the nice comments, and yes Ray, I know it is a female, and my excuse is this,,,, I had just finished working on a CF card full of a male Hooded Merganser. Blame it on a senior moment, lol.

    Hey Ed,
Good feather detail and lighting on this one. Just wondering where it was taken. McGregor Marsh or Buttertubs?

See you out there sometime. It's off to Linley Valley today. I'm going to look for Barred Owls.

    Steve
