Jules you need to talk to them and make friends, the one at Estero will nibble on the end of my finger and follows me around the lagoon ... comical :) ... no food involved !!!

Al, your should try and get a shot with a 100mm or 85mm lens at f/2 or f/2.2. We will get to see the kind of bokeh that we hardly see in bird photos.
