    Against the Grain

Decided to go mad on this one. Rose was extracted from its background. Bckrnd metal embossed. The whole thing desatted and then given the Nik antique solarising treatment. Looks a bit like an old fashioned tin tray

Very nice treatment, Kora. Does strongly resemble an old-fashioned tin tray. :) I might remove the three buds around the rose since they touch the frame. I think that would also help focus more attention on the rose.

Thanks for looking and commenting Christopher, Paul and Indranil. This was a tongue in cheek post. Deliberately going against the grain by going into the frame...or Out of the Box. Just a bit of Aussie humour:D

Kora, I like the idea of going to the edge:eek: I think this would present better if you used the e4e4e4 color(that is the same color as our BG on BPN) as a backdrop instead of the white w/ thin border. Nice texture and toning.

Kora, lovely effect and I like Denise's suggestion for the border colour.

Many thanks for your helpful advice, denise and Nicki. And I'll not the BPN background color for this and future use. Very handy indeed!:) Kora

I've changed my PS bckgrnd to e4e4e4 and it will help me view my images as they would appear here. I also changed the edges on this image and think it looks better. More like a plaque now than an old tin plate :D Kora

Hi Kora. I like the repost better and I like your approach to living on the edge... :) The BG treatment gives it 3D look to me. Cool!
