Another brown hare, a little brighter this time. I was lucky to to get the shot, I had just arrived at the venue and hadn't even had time to adjust my camera when this little chap came into view, next time I will ensure that camera is set before I arrive!! I pointed and prayed! I wish I had been on a faster shutter speed but I think it is acceptable.

I like the stance Jonathan, and good to see some movement. It needs some more space below the feet, just a tad tight for me.

I saw your reply on the previous post about ISO, but if you continue to have a slow shutter speed you will always have a soft image. Have your camera pre-set before you leave the house, then you don't lose time in any set-up, all you need to do then is, - Focus/Comp/Shoot.:)

Hi Jonathan You sure have done well with hares !!!

Excellent suggestions by Steve, you need to get that shutter speed up or go for blurs !!!

More room will also make it look better, need that room up front for the critter to move into !!!

    Hi Jonathan,
Great action and POV. The comments by Steve should help.

These are very difficult subjects for the camera to focus on as well as there is quite a bit of vertical movement in the subject as well as the horizontal movement when they are running.

Seeing your images will make me have another go at this subject. I'll keep my eyes open for you on the peninsula !

Thanks guys - good advice, I agree about presetting the camera- probably nine times out of ten I do but not this time! Occasionally the controls are knocked when reaching over for the camera - just another excuse to consider a D1 Mk1V I guess!!:)
I added more space in front and above the hare - it was that tight in the frame, I trimmed off a little at the bottom as I did not like the texture too much.
