    Hi Everyone!
I took this whilst lying on my belly in Little Estero Lagoon last month - I did not smell good after this experience...:D
Taken into the sun and deliberately overexposed in camera but not enough as I was concerned that my elbows would sink so deep into the mud that I would lose my kit to the lugworms...

Tweaked up the exposure in ACR, converted to b/w and painted out a few extraneous details.
    Look forward to your c & c's!
    Best regards to all,

Excellent effect, Nicki. I like the pose and the black on white look. The way it looks on my monitor I might prefer a trifle more detail in the bird, though I'm sure it looks better as a print. Well done! :)

Simply beautiful, Nicki. I love the simplicity of the bird and the waves.

Love the high key. Love the sharpness and detail maintained in the dark tones. This images grabs the eye and forces your brain to fill in the blanks between the dark tones. This is truelly a top image in my opinion!

Very nice Nicki. Just enough of a line to suggest the breast area. Think it would show up more in a print as Christopher mentioned. Love the low angle too and the bill. We have goose poop up here:)

i like the composition and brightness. that touch of water is excellent, as are the dark beak and eye. i think some areas fade out a bit too much. great angle of view.

Jackie and Anita, thanks so much for your comments. I do think that this is more successful as a print - the neck line is more distinct.
Jackie, we have goose poop here too...

Excellent Nicki! I like this look a lot. I especially like the hint of water. On my monitor the neck line is just right! Great job.
