    Default Gelada run (with repost)

Life in a Gelada troop is usually very placid, but every now and then a dispute would start and for a just a few seconds all **** broke loose. The troops are huge (up to 200!) and spread over a large area, so it took a lot of attention to try and get some action. After a while you learned to follow some males that just looked like troublemakers.

In this case a lower perspective would have been better, I think.

Sweet capture Ignacio !! Vale !!!

Love the intensity and body lean !! Good exposure and sharp !!! Temped to show the animal larger in frame by taking a little (not much) form the right and some form the left ... still having more room on the left !! Big Congrats !!!

Great action. I agree with your assessment that a lower angle would have been better. I would prefer some more space at the top and left. Opening up the shadows a bit will also strengthen the image. Overall, I like this image.

    Cheers,

Great action photo. I would too, prefer some space on top and left, but with animals moving it is dificult to make a composition. Congratulations.

Great image, I for one would not wish to be on the ground when one of these comes running!

In fact I would just be happy to see one.

Have you got any group shots?

Thank you all for your suggestions. I had cropped it trying to make the animal look big in the frame. Here's a version with more space around and trying to open the shadows; I'm not sure about the colors though.

Incidentally, my apologies if the word that appears as asteriscs is considered rude.

    Thanks again,

OMG! Terrific capture, Ignacio, I like the repost much better, the expression on the face, the fur detail and the colors of the habitat work together to make an excellent image.

I think I like the colours better in the original, but the repost has more impact. Just a great shot, and looking at your lens a lower shot would have been very brave.
