I liked the stare in this one, also the light and BG. At Ding Darling NWR, Feb. 2, 2010

1DM3, 500 mm, ISO 500, f/9, 1/1000 sec (+0.67 EC over evaluative), two rounds of USM in post: 120/0.3/0 (too much?)

    C&C appreciated.

    Keith:

    Serious eye contact there.

Exposure looks close, perhaps +.1/3 more, but that might have been too much.

I think just a touch too much sharpening, seeing some jaggies in the primary feathers.

I like the clouds and basic composition, but might consider moving the bird to the left in the frame a bit.

Clouds add a lot over plain blue.

    Cheers

    Randy

    H Keith,
I'd be pretty happy with this one - I like the sky and the feather detail. I can't tell whether it is over-sharpened as I'm on my laptop!
    Regards,
    Nicki
