    Default Long billed vulture

    Hello All,

The population of these vultures took a serious damage due to the usage of a cattle drug. This drug causes kidney failure in several species of vultures when they feed on the dead cattle. As a result, numbers plummeted to less than 5% of the original.

    Madhav:

I like the action captured here, appreciate the story too.

The light was a bit harsh, but decent angle. There are a few hot spots in the wings, might be able to recover in ACR

Looks reasonably sharp, but the bird is small enough in frame it is a bit hard to be sure. If the image quality will allow, I would consider a fairly strong crop in from the right and some up form the bottom to give the bird more impact. I like the background elements, gives us a sense of his environment, just wish the bird was a bit larger in frame.

The head angle is a bit away. You could consider toning down the whitewash i the foreground if it bothers you at all.

    Thanks for sharing.

Interesting setting and takeoff pose. I wish the angle were less steep and for a little more separation between rocks and bird.
