    Default Lesser Black-backed Gull

Last year I went down to the city were I knew it would be gulls, in hope getting some good shots.
After some photographing I got this. It's taken when the sun was as most bright and lighten up the clouds. On the computer I intenst the BG, cropped it and sharpend the gull.
I kind of liked it, does it work for you?

    Ivan:

I like the composition, nice dorsal view of gull, good head angle on gull.
The clouds look a bit too sharp or distinct , and because they are so bright compared to the gull, I find myself staring more at them. Even though our eye can see this way, we aren't used to photographs looking quite like that.

I might also lighten the gull a bit.

    Thanks for sharing.

I like the eye contact, pose and clouds in the BG. I would leave the dark part of the plumage as it is but would lighten the whites.
